The Flux is a master studio project that reimagines an existing urban block as a future-oriented mobility hub. Located between pedestrian flows, public transport connections, the park edge, and the existing building fabric, the project responds to a city where cars become less dominant and soft mobility becomes part of everyday life.

The design treats the building not as a closed object, but as a porous urban infrastructure. The basement and ground floor are activated as a shared mobility core where parking, repair, changing rooms, public programs, and social encounters overlap. By opening the ground floor and connecting the front street, park, central core, and back street, the project creates a continuous access system for pedestrians, cyclists, and soft mobility users.

A new canopy extends from the park toward the building, transforming the park edge into an active green threshold. Over time, climbing plants turn the canopy and façade into a seasonal environmental layer, offering shade in summer, allowing more sunlight in winter, and creating a corridor for biodiversity.

The project also works through subtraction and reuse. Parts of the existing mass are selectively removed to create terraces, recessed green balconies, and inhabited voids that bring light, air, vegetation, and people into the section. Demolished brick and concrete are crushed and reused as new ground tiles, creating a warm paving gradient across the public surface.

The Flux combines mobility, adaptive reuse, material circularity, greenery, and flexible public programs into one continuous system. It proposes an architecture where people, nature, and movement can pass through, stop, recover, work, and gather.
